National Health Center Week 2019 “Rooted in Communities”

National Health Center Week is being celebrated this week, August 4 to 10, to raise awareness about the “mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers over the past five decades.” This year’s theme is “Rooted in Communities,” since health centers address some of the most innovative solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing conventional medicine. Health centers currently serve over 28 million patients in the United States, helping to deliver quality care to underrepresented populations and taking the burden off overcrowded emergency rooms.

According to the Health Resources and Services Administration, “health centers are community-based and patient-directed organizations that deliver comprehensive, culturally competent, high quality primary health care services.” You may walk-in to any of our convenient Primary Medical Care health centers, or you may schedule an appointment by visiting our website at www.primarymed.com, or call (305)751-1500 for our Miami-Dade clinic, or (954)289-0000 for our Broward clinic.
